Yesterday I bought a specimen of S.gigantea from LFS and would like to share with you the Ciprofloxacin treatment progress on her. Sorry for speaking without photo because I failed to upload photo. I know a guarantee tank is the best place for treatment but space is not really allowed. So, direct treatment on display tank started here...:deadhorse:

-antibiotics: Ciprofloxacin-Teva with 250mg Ciprofloxacin, produced in Hungary
-dosage: one pill per day
-time of administration: night
-method of adminstration: drop the pill near the specimen

Day 1: Start of treatment
-ID: S.gigantea
-Blue species
-30cm in diameter
-No injury found
-No bleaching observed
-Sticky
-Attached to live rock within 2 hours
-mouth is not visible because of strict folding

Day 2:
-Mouth opened for 1x3cm
-Gut goes out from the month for 1x3x0.5cm

Information of the system:
-60x60x36cm display+ 45x45x36cm sump
-About 150L water
-Salinity: 34.5
-Temp: 25 degree Celcius
-pH: 8.0
-Filtration: biopellet

I would have to strongly advise against treatment in main tank. Its most likely going to wipe out your bio filtration.
