Look at the regenerating gfo thread. You can easily reuse gfo and I have found that BRS HC stuff is one of the best to regenerate.

Just tested phosphate after the large water change yesterday and new gfo. 0.35 compared to the whopping 1.81 beforehand. At least its headed in the right direction. Now I just have to keep it headed down.
