Yes I occaisionally have to do that

Actually I just picked up what looks to be a decent digital camera. I have to photograph some things for a project I'm working on. I'll have the camera over the weekend, so I may have to test it out on the fish tank while I have it. ;)

Digital cameras----LOL my wife took the Nikon dx40 to Nova Scotia and left the battery charger there.
The store I bought it from won't charge the battery for me and want 70 bucks for a new charger
No pics until my daughter mails the charger back to me:lol:

lps and corraline does better in DOC enriched waters
That's what I figured.

The leather still doesn't look great, but at least has bumps on it now where the polyps will be.

just stuff some towels in your sink and turn the water on ;)

Twerp! ;) If you were a real gentleman, you would be here building it for me! Then, we can Laura for cocktails in Louisville!

Great that's the way I will run it--it will also get rid of that oil slick of organics that builds up on the surface--even with a koralia 2 in there.
I still need to pick up some Koralia's for the 30g tank. I'm just not sure what I'm going to use yet. I'm thinking 2 #2's but I'm not sure if that would be too much flow for a 30g.

have you been able to find a thread for metal halides like Grims
No not yet... well that being said, I haven't exactly looked. It would be nice to see something for a comparison though.

I think Rae should have to do it for you----give her practise
haha... good idea ;)

I haven't flipped back through it yet, so I'm not sure how much has even gone on this split besides the whelks.

Haha... I always check that now, after previously borrowing 2 cameras that were dead, and not realizing it until I got out to where I was taking pictures.

I thought you got the whelks out of that tank--have you tried to use a trap or maybe throw in a sally and watch the fun;)

I am actually using a k3 in there now because it was a spare
The two k2's would be better for directing the flow

Oh I see how it is... "what have you done for me lately"

I think her little brother's are finished with their basketball tournament, and she's taking them to Six Flags today.

yeah I pulled them out of the 90g tank, but threw them into the 30g QT tank. There's some larger hermit crabs in there. After the whelks snacked on my clam I figured they could be a snack for the crabs.

Suprisingly I don't think I've lost many though... they seem to stay on the glass all day.

I don't use the internal overflow either. But I did see a pretty cool sump design someone had drawn up which had the Remora incorporated into it.

oh nice link please

I feel real bad about that... especially since I recommended them too you. I wonder what's going on with them.

I think they had no idea how popular the skimmers would be, and I guess plain out just can't keep up with the demand anymore.

I'll have to look for it... I usually browse the sump build questions, and I think it was on one of those, but I'm not 100% sure which forum it was in.

I'll take a look though.
