not sure about the driving laws in the states, but we have a ban if we get 12 points on our licence, ive got 3 at the moment, after 4 years they are wiped off and back to 0 again, obviously should i get caught speeding before then id have 6, so the points are worse than the fine

They are pre assigned. Depending where you get the ticket, the amount is on the back of the ticket. In Cinti, they give you a ticket, and a seperate piece of paper that gives you the list prices. No funny buisness. You can also look it up on the net, the ticket will have the code that tells you which violation you have broken, and you can find the cost that way.

Yeah they don't do that here. In PA I know they write it right on the ticket. I had to call in today to find out. The lady just asked me how much I was going over the limit, then read me off the fine.

No ticket code or anything... so definitely set intervals here. I'm glad I had my seatbelt on though. Which I always wear btw. That's the big hitter around here right now. Cops are writing tickets like crazy for that, and from what I have heard it's not cheap.

That's the same here... points are always worse. I'm not sure how many it takes to get banned, but I believe it takes 3 years before the ticket is wiped off your record here.

haha... me neither... like I said before I want to try and reserve the first 3 spots on the split for my summary.

So I'll need to try and hit post 999 then.
 
I think the tickets for mods is shall we say "not the best idea". I remember a friend of mines cousins girlfriend ( I think :rolleyes: ) got a ticket for having a teddy in the back of her car and for having a sticker next to her license plate. Apparently the teddy was blocking the rear view mirror, obviously she made sure she could still see through it and moved the teddy accordingly and they never gave a reason for the sticker.

Yeah I know you can get fined for having stuff hanging from your mirror. That's one of those "what kind of mood is the cop in" fine though.
 
Boy did I just get a surprise.
I have 2 computers in the house. My antique desktop and my laptop. The laptop is hooked up through my wireless router but not setup to access my Emails. I use my laptop alot more than the desktop, so I fired up the old boat anchor to check for messages. Because I normally dont get alot of emails I dont check everyday. When Outlook finished downloading my messages I nearly had a heart-attack......362 unread messages....Whoa. I guess I didn't set the right options so I dont get email notification of new posts to subscribed threads. I changed what I hope is the right option but we'll have to see how many more I get before this thread splits....lol
