Easy! I'll try that next week, my hubby loves ribs. Here's one of my family's faves, takes twenty minutes.

Whole roasted chicken, box of potato gnocchi, tub of alfredo sauce. While the gnocchi is cooking, pull all the meat off the chicken. When gnocchi is done, drain, return to pot, add chicken and alfredo sauce, stir and serve. Good, stick to your ribs, meal. Add a salad or steamed broccoli.
Thanks for the recipe.. I'll definitely have to try that out. :)

Sound like the makings of a Jeff Foxworthy joke.

I can make a mean chicken parmigiana.

The problem with my recipes is I work like my mom, and don't measure anything. It's hard to pass on a recipe when you say a glug of this and a bunch of shakes of that.

One of my favorite meals though has to be garlic chicken and potatoes.

Boneless chicken breast
Idaho potatoes (or something similar)

Cut the potatoes into small (about an inch across) cubes. Put them in a pan. Add some vegetable/olive oil so that every potato can get a little oily love. Pepper, salt, oregano, basil, plenty of lemon and pepper (its a seasoning put all together in a shaker bottle), either garlic powder or real garlic (I like to use the pre-minced stuff that comes in the little glass jars), and then a couple of pieces of butter.

Same seasoning on the chicken. You can add some chopped up onion too if you like. Put the chicken in the pan and spread the potatoes out all around it so they're not a big pile.

Pre-heat oven to 425 and then pop-em in and in about 45 minutes or so (the potatoes will take longer if you didn't cut them down small, and usually you want to cook the potatoes at 450 but that would cook the chicken too fast) they'll be done. Serve it with some broccoli and corn. And you can put chicken gravy all over it too (cause I like my gravy).

It's really easy, it's just hard to explain

I got a bunch of easy to make filling meals though. How do you think I'm making it through college? All my room mates are always jealous cause I never share.

WHen I went through college, I was a vegetarian because meat was too expensive! I ate a lot of potatoes!

Going to be ordering new bulbs soon... Here's what the new layout will be.

- - - - FRONT - - - -
ATI Blue Plus
UV Lighting 75/25
UV Lighting Aquasun
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue
ATI Blue Plus
- - - - BACK - - - -

Here's what I'm currently running:

- - - - FRONT - - - -
Geisemann Actinic Plus
UV Lighting 75/25
UV Lighting Aquasun
Geisemann Actinic Plus
Geisemann Aquablue Plus
UV Lighting Super Actinic
- - - - BACK - - - -

I'll be doing before and after PAR testing for comparison. Also, Phil may help me out, and let me borrow 2 - 250w MH's to rig up above the tank for a day to test the values, and get a direct comparison.

i think you will be happy with the new set up i run ati and uv bulbs atm. did you not go with the true attinic for the extra par then?

Any explantion of your new choice? woulnd't it be better to start switching from front to back and then assess and maybe modify your choice as you go?
don't you think that changing all the bulbs in one go can affect the corals negatively?

Hello Tswifty i have been off of this site for a little bit of time. There has been so much going on. I see that you are doing very well with your tank. What is your current stock list for fish?

I think this is the right way to go about it. I changed mine out two at a time over 6 weeks. I didn't want to sunburn my corals.

I wanted a little "bluer tint" to the tank, and the ATI bulbs are supposed to have better color plus pump out more PAR than the Geisemann bulbs.

Nah I'm not worried, I'll just adjust the photo period for a few days.

Hey man, long time no see. How's your tank doing?

As for my tank the list looks like this:

- Yellow Tang
- Powder Blue Tang
- Tomini Tang
- Flame Angelfish
- 2 Yasha Hase White Ray Gobies (I think 2 at least)
- Female Green Mandarin Dragonet

For another num num dinner, try Shephards pie.........mmmmmmm.
Yeah I have a funny story about shephards pie...

I told my husband about the ribs inthe crock pot...he asked if you brined them in salt water first!! LOL!

Lol, this is why this is my favorite thread, one minute we're talking about stand construction, then we're talking about food, then to bulbs, haha

I'm with you TJ, i think just dropping back the photo period shouldn't negatively affect the corals...

:D

P.S. My favorite food of all time, lasagna :D YUMMM!
P.P.S. I could have sworn you had a clown TJ!
