Hi Tom, my orange shoulder is about 7". I'm not really sure how the two palani and orange shoulder would react if they were of the same size. But mine so far is doing fine.

if what I have read is correct then the palani will end up being several inches larger than the orange shoulder. the max sizes for the palani can be up to 18" and 14" for the orange shoulder. But I don't know if those are wild sizes or captive system maximum sizes. Maybe some others that have mentioned keeping the palanis before can chime in about sizes (at their max, once they "stopped" growing). Our orange shoulder is just over 12" and hasn't really shown any significant growth in several months now, which is why I think he is close to full size (at least his full size). And of course each fish is an individual, so yours may not reach those stated max sizes .

ATB is still working fine. I don't have updated pictures though, but Im starting to get less skimmate now. I also reduce my feeding from 4 to just 2 to 3 feeding a day. I just don't have the time to feed my livestocks that much anymore.

Got my nitrate down from +100ppm then 50ppm. But last night I check it again and nitrate is down to 10ppm.

The sulfur where getting compacted in the previous setup. When I that happens water does not circulate in side anymore. I mod the reactor by mixing sulfur and denitrator media in the second half of the chamber to allow water to flow freely.

I also mod the direction of the flow so that water curcluate now from bottom to top of of the reactor.

The new mod brought the nitrate down from +100ppm to 10ppm in the tank and 0ppm in the reactor effluent.

Here is a picture of my new dendro that I just acquared recently. I just feed it will krill and that he is trying to devour.

Darnnn, I saw some razor calupera growing in my tank and none of my tangs toughed it yet. What is the best way to tackle this, don't feed the fish (tangs) so they mow on the calupera? And may be just feed cyclop-eeze for the small fish?

Okay, I didn't feed my tangs last night -- no nori just cyclop-eeze for the non herbavores fish ... to see if tangs when starved will start picking on the calupera.

Ops! sorry, mark. I didn't know you were talking about the pink smoothie. I got the PS from a kid (byreefer) in sj. And I don't believe its a legit PS. But never the less, I see some potential on this digi.
