starting a 375g 96x30x30 tank

Here is a new coral that I and Radiolunatic bought from Ming last Saturday. He said it's a Fragfarmer Red Robin stag, but Ming still need to confirm it.

Dang....what an amazing tank! Your pictures are equally amazing too!

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera/lense are you using? I have a Rebel XT with the 55mm and 300mm lense but my pictures still turns out crappy.

BTW...thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the comment and it was nice to meet you in person. Your store has improve significantly compared to what it use to be when it was still with the previous owner.

Those nice shots were taken by Ebn (Eric) using his Nikon DX2s on a 105mm/2.8 VR macro lense. I'm using Nikon D200 with 105mm/2.8 non-VR macro lense on most of my shots but I still have not developed the skill to get those kind of shots.

Thanks Perry. Much appreciated!

Guess I need to look into a new macro lense.

Take it easy man.

Awesome fish. I Cant wait til my bottom of my tank looks more mature like yours, rather than a clean piece of acrylic. Any current updates?

Thanks for the comment, Joe. You just revived this thread too.

Any way, I just added a pair of percular to my main tank. They're been in the sump for almost 6mo. I bought a male watanabe too and placed him in the sump for now. I will move him to the main tank too once aclimated and when I see him start eating.

Here is the pair percula. Not very a good picture, though.

Great pics
How are the anthias

Hi Victor,

The anthias are doing fine. Out of 11 barletts, 1 died after a week. Anyway, she was already in bad shape when I got her.

Very nice Perry. I started with 5 Bartletts and I am down to 3; two males and a female, it will be only a matter of time before I am down to two. :(

:D They seems to fight a lot, ya.

I Actually started with 8 dispar, but they seems to be too hard to feed at start ... then 5 died of starvation. Right now, I still have 3 dispar left plus the 10 barletts.

Perry, do you like Ventralis Anthias?

They are my favorites, but I do not keep my tank cool enough to have them thrive long term. :(

I like them, but I don't think I can keep them alive.

I remember chingchai has a few, but he keep on losing them.

what tank temp is needed? I really want a couple, too.

To thrive, < 74-75. Sang has one or two left, I think
