Starting a log

Well, I figured its time to start a log of my trials and tribulations in this wonderful hobby. I want to start documenting somewhere it might benefit others and keep a running record of my "program" as well.

I want to try by start to post some pics; something that never came easy to me. So here is a pic of my big toadstool:

If this works, there will be more to follow.:eek2:

give me your emaill address, i'll send you a tutorial on how to post pics.. i tryed to post it here but its a bit larger then the allowable limit. but remember you have to get the pic location and enter it in between the [ img ] and [ /img ] hit the preview button and see if it works..

but no spaces, all one line. i had to add them because it was thinking it was an actual image and trying to post it.

oh its not really homework, I was reading on how to take better pics.. I have this camera that i dont know how to use. so i went to melesreef.com and started reading..

make a photobucket account.. after you upload the picks to photobucket, look for the "IMG Code" below the pic.. click "http://img.photo" it will automaticly copy the link to the pic. Right click and paste the link into the text box on here and boom.. you have your pic linked.

should look something like this..

So, what did I do wrong above that just the link shows instead of the actual picture?

you used the address from webbrowser on top. you are supposed to right click on the pic you want to show, hit properties, highlight location address, right click on the highlight, hit copy. then hit the IMG box on the post you want the pic to show. erase the http on there because the pic address already has that . paste the pic address and hit ok.. did you get the word doc i sent you showing you how to do it set by step? this is from imagestation to reefcentral.

" at the back. without the quotes..

Well, it has been a long time since I updated this thread. I had alot going on: New issues at work, moved from one place to another then another, ordered tons of stuff and took forever to come in, etc... BUT!!! I am finally coming back on line. Just got back from Emergency Leave and had ordered a ton of stuff. Reef Exotics' box just arrived at home (wife called to let me know) and now I am excited about moving my 130 gal AGA from up north down south again. I will be trying to be PICK INTENSTIVE so please bear with me on this.
GUYS...I am planning on making a wall in my new rented place...the owner said I could as long as it was all repaired upon departure...SOOOOOO if any of you are handy with assisting my making a wall to frame my 130 gal AGA...drop me a line!!!

Building a wall is pretty straight forward. I take it you will sheet rock it? If so, it's not hard. Don't know if they have the water resistant sheet rock here as most construction contractors use regular and ends up tiling it. I could help build it but I have a tendancy to make things kinda permanant so we will have to design it so it can be removed and the area repaired after.
