that is good news
can you post a picture before putting him back in the DT. You might have missed something that others on here might pick up.

Thanks for the concern but unfortunately it's too late. I already acclimated him and released him in the DT. He looks fine. The reason he was removed in the first place was because of some bloating and I was not going to be around to monitor him. The bloating is gone and he swimming around. Two days ago he was stressed and discolored (typical camouflaging for a Foxface) and wouldn't come out of one of the caves.

Removing him was pretty stressful and caused the urchin sting so I don't to risk that again. I'll monitor him closely though.

He was my first and is also my favorite.

The first is always the favorite. (Ask me... I am the oldest! :D )

Foxface update

The Foxface is doing real well and is almost totally healed.

I will be getting two Ocellaris Clownfish tomorrow. They will be in the QT for a while.

Here's a picture of the two Clowns. They're in the QT.

I also got a few new corals. I'll posts pics of those shortly.

nice purchase and smooth move quaranting them

They are Tank Bred from LiveAquaria.com which is pretty safe but I have read about too many issues happening with clowns.

One is slightly bigger than the other but I don't know if it's big enough to automatically be the dominant one. I would like to keep them from fighting for dominance if possible.

The cleaner shrimp that was part of the same order showed up dead. I got a complete credit but it made for an expensive pair of clowns since the shipping is now only spread between the clowns.

The coral I received today, also from LA had it's separate shipping charge.

One Year Today

It's been one year since I made my first post on this thread. I thought I would show the tank as it progressed over the year.

Wow, that birdsnest has really taken off! Are you dosing your tank at all?

Awesome progress. I can't believe it's been a year already!

Awesome progress. I can't believe it's been a year already!

I dose daily with E-Bionic 2 part solution.

The birdsnest is really growing fast I wish some of the others would also.

Congratulations on your anniversary! Tank looks great. Getting great growth on those corals. That birdsnest really exploded!

I've been following your thread for a long time and you have helped me on this thread a number of times when I was planning my tank. Thank you for that. My tank's been up and running for a while now but I just now finally got around to starting my own build thread. Stop by and take a look if you get a chance...

I just realized I haven't posted a shot that shows how the tank looks in the house.

Wow! Very nice tank!

I just found your thread, I will have to read it "cover-to-cover" when I'm done studying... :)

Thanks. My favorite area is the backyard.

Wow. That would be my favorite too :). Very nice!

We have very similar tanks--same high tank, canopy and stand---I notice you have gone with T'5 while I have gone with twin 150 watt halides. This is as high as I could go do to concerns about heating up the canopy to the point of a fire problem. Even with the 150 watts we had to drill two 4 inch holes in the top of the canopy.
What is the break down in the T'5 you are running as I am into a real delima as to trade out the halides when the bulbs are due for a change.
The halides just don't penetrate far enough into the tank for me to raise the beautiful corals you have.

Thanks---gorgeous house and backyard by the way
