ok guys so y had to tear appart my tank cause of a pretty bad fungus infection a month ago i changed 90% of the water but that didnt cure it so i had to kill my sand and rocks with clorox,my question is i had the rocks submerged in clorox for 2 days then wash them and leave them in anti clorine for 2 more days rught now they are under the sun for 2 days would that be eunogh to start again or do i need to leave for a couple of more days?

Chlorine dissapates. I would say your are good to go.

I do not have any experience bleaching rocks. I don't know what all is in clorox - but be careful.. I think if it's clorox II it's a non-chlorinated bleach... so I don't know about using chlorine remover. I assume you've read people using this method?

I would probably do a tapwater version of curing my rock in a plastic bin (doing big water changes every week, at least) - over about three weeks, then switch to DI water for another three weeks. You could set your tank back up and put in your sand bed, let the tank cycle for 6 weeks and not 'waste' any time.

That's just me... you may be fine - but I'd hate to add any bleach residue to any system at any time, chlorine or not.

Chlorine dissipates, The chlorine remover is a choramine breaker, chroramine is used in tap water so that chlorine doesn't dissipate during the delivery of your tap water. rule of thumb, if you leave the area to clear your nose, and come back and smell the rocks and they don't have ANY chlorine smell you good as gold, if you have any smell, boil them in hot fresh water this will dissipate the chlorine immediately. I have been bleaching rocks and sand for over 40+ years. There is no left over residue from chlorine.
