Starting new 120g reef tank - items needed

Hello all
After a few years break I am setting up a new 120g reef tank in the next few weeks. I have the tank, stand, lighting and ro/di taken care of but am still in need of a few items. I thought I would post and see if anyone has any of these items for sale. My tank will be about 150-170g total with sump:

Items I need:
- Protein Skimmer
- Wavemaker (I may have a Tunze but need a controller if I use it)
- Kalk reactor (I used to have a calcium rector but have decided to set this up with a kalk reactor as I did not like the co2 and PH reduction associated with the calcium reactor so I am going to use a Kalk reactor this time)
- Live Rock
- Live Sand
- Cool Frags (LPS, SPS and Softies)
Thanks in advance!
Vince

I'm taking down my 125g this weekend. I have two older tunze 6100s and the 7095 multi controller with moonlight. The 6100s are older but are true workhorses. I also have a H&S a150 2001, it is an external skimmer. Skims like crazy.
Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply. How much are you asking for them? And is H&S still around and making skimmers?
Thanks

$300 for everything seems fair since it is "œolder" equipment.

H&S is still around, they are a German company, but a quick google search didn't show anyone in the US selling them. It uses an aquabee 2001 pump that is still made. H&S was Deltec's big competitor and now that Deltec is back in the US H&S might follow suit again.

The Tunzes have the smaller aftermarket magnets, not the big bulky tunze ones.

I actually need an in sump skimmer not external. Or can the H&S be set up in sump? If not how much for the Tunzes without the H&S?
And all is still working fine?

I have always used it in sump, just because I was nervous about it leaking or overflowing. I was thinking $150 for skimmer and $150 for tunze setup.

Everything works great. I'm only taking down the tank because of a potential move and I do t want to move a 6' tank.

I'll definitely take the Tunzes. Do you want to PM me your address and a good time for me to pick it up over the next few days?
Still considering the H&S - does the pump come with it and is the pump and skimmer still running good? Also how big is it: rough footprint and tank size rating? I cannot find any specs on it. Thanks!

I have a GSA kalk stirrer if it interests you. 75 bucks.

Anyone have an old sump or small drilled tank that can be used as a sump. I have an old 30 gallon but its not drilled and would like one hole at the top as an overflow. I am too scared to drill it myslelf. Thanks!

Ask Acer. He used to have a bunch chilling out back that he didn't want.

Thanks. Thinking about it though, I might just get a 30 gallon Rubbermaid tub and use it. That’s what I used before and i was easily able to put a hole where I wanted in it. I think i will do that again.

Obviously do what you are comfortable with, but the main reason people use sumps these days is for a constant water height chamber for the skimmer to work properly.

Good point...my skimmer has a dedicated pump to feed it so sump height should not be an issue though.

Your welcome to come over and see what I have in extra tanks. I am in Gibsonia 15044. I think I have a 30 gallon- it may have a crack - easily fixable= wont look great- but hey for free and its a sump - so looks don't matter much. Also-if it is not drilled or you want to make the holes in a different position - we can drill it at my house together - good experience for you. I have a 1 inch glass drill.

Most skimmers have a dedicated pump to feed them. It's the pressure or lack thereof of the water in the sump that will change the heigth in your skimmer chamber with a constant pressure feeding pump. It's the same way that barometric pressure affects some older skimmer designs.

I have some BRS Pukani dry rock that has been curing for a few weeks. I bought more than I need so I can probably spare some. I also have several toadstool that have broken off around my tank you can have for free. I also have a giant rock full of paly's I'd like to get rid off for $3/pound. Probably a couple hundred paly's on it.

I also bought this Maxspect Gyre SF150 and didn't need it. Was too much flow on top of my 2 mp40's. You can have it for $160 http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2617147

Crawlerman- so both you and JoeCool could not use the Gyre Wave because it was too powerful.

too powerful for where I wanted it. I have MP40's at the ends and wanted to put it in the middle. If I was all sps it would be fine, buy my euphyllia had no place out of the high flow.
