Starting Over, need Rock to seed with

Hey guys, its been over 2 years since I've been in this forum. I got discouraged after my second tank crashed and just parked everything in the garage. As everyone does, I walked through FINS the other day and got the bug again, so looking to set things back up.

I have plenty of dry base rock, but hoping I could find some liverock and maybe even some sand local from someone either breaking down or getting out or at least willing to get rid of a little. I'm putting into a 35 gallon cube so don't necessarily need a ton of rock or sand.

If you have dry rock and bring it to the meeting I will trade you some live rock so you can seed it. If you come to the meeting we can do it them.

I think i may just put in an order to gulf-view for sand and rock. I've bought from Dale a few times before and was always very happy. I know all the trouble that you can get into with hitchhikers, aptaisia, etc, but its kind of fun to me to see what you might happen to get. Most people consider a mantis shrimp a pest, but i got one with an order about 3 years ago and it was one of the funner inhabitants to watch so long as you don't mind buying snails occassionally.

If anyone might want to go in with me for some pieces, let me know. Will probably look towards getting some stuff in the first to middle of next week.

The prices are pretty reasonable and the good thing is that he goes dives and collects, comes home and packages, and then heads to the airport and the order is sitting at the airport via air freight waiting for you the next day. I'm personally looking at about 20 lbs of sand and 30 lbs of rock.

Let me know if you can find out what the shipping will be. Their website was not clear enough for me to figure that out. Was some mention of a 100lb minimum charge. If that is the case, I may order 60lbs and we would be close to the 100lb charge.

nope its $100 minimum total order so if we both get at least 100 together we're good to go. Shipping is standard air freight, if i remember right 2 boxes full before was 30 or 40 bucks.
