Update:

We still need to skin the stand, and we need lights (LEDs is what Andy wants to go with)

We are almost there people. Hopefully we get a good turn out directors wise so we can talk about this.

Well It took a little bit of work but We have created a Monster! We have turned an Octopus NWB 150 and turned it into an Super Reef Octopus 2000.

Thank you for going through with this transformation. Saves me the headache of guessing if it'll work in the future when I want to upgrade my tank.

Can you tell me what size your skimmer section of the sump is? Also it looks like the length of the skimmer footprint has changed (due to the adapter), but what about the width. Is the Bubble blaster wider than the OTP pump originally on there?

Thanks.

Also, do you have a price/part number for the adapter?

Eric did the ordering and will have to tell you about that. Ill try and get some measurements for you when I can. I say when I can because I am pulling 8 12hr midnights in a row right now.... 4 down 4 to go!

The bubble blaster pump has a smaller foot print than the otp 2000. with the bubble blaster on the nwb150 it has the same foot print as the Super Reef Octopus 2000. just look at the coral vue website for the footprint dimensions. If you buy the pump from coralvue they will supply the venturi and the adapter pieces (but you have to ask them for it). Now if you already have the pump then each piece is $25 plus shipping. You will also have to run the skimmer at about 6inches because the bubble blaster is really powerful.

Well we have some hurdles that we have to talk about in the next meeting that will either complete the build or disassemble it.

On another note I would like once again thank the members that contributed to this project:
Jay
Justin
Pedro
Andy
Steffen
Ben
Ivan
Shaun
Daniel
With out you guys this would still just a proposition

Member participation is what gets things running smooth. The more members participate, the stronger we get.

I would also like to thank every STARS member that follows us on RC, We are all here for the same reason "addiction" to this hobby and only you know what the rest of us are going through. So make shure to share your thoughts with us that share the same addiction and understand what your tank is going through, as we will not judge you but guide you through your addiction

hey what is the current status??? i have a few frags that are primed for this project since strayvoltage (not to mention names) hasn't gotten his frags. in other words im begging to donate frags!!

We are at a stand still with the tank. We need somebody with the room and knowledge to run the tank. All of the materials are being held at Andy's house for the time being.

What kind of frags do you have?
