Steel Stand for 8 foot tank

Hi. Newbie here! posted this in the newbie section and one of the guys there (thanks oRchidz) told me to post this in this section. thus, this post. Im planning to buy my first big tank. the dimensions are 8 ft length, 3 feet width and 2 1/2 feet height. The welder who's going to build my stand suggested that i should place it on a stand with the dimensions and design as seen in this picture(sorry for my lack of drawing skills)

stand: length 8 feet 2 inches, width 3 feet 2 inches and height 3 feet

i just want to know if the stand would be strong enough to support my planned aquarium with full set up using a steel tube with dimensions 2 inch x 2 inch x 0.078 inch(2 mm). thanks in advance. kindly answer my query. thank you!:wavehand:

I've seen similar stands but they all used a larger wall thickness. It usually doesn't cost much more to go with a stronger material.
