Stepped on my clown last night :(

Somehow he is still alive! Where do I begin?

Before I call it a night, I check on my tank. I noticed one of clowns (s'more) was not in bed and no where to be found. Instant panic set in as I checked the overflow and sump. I grab my flashlight by the tank and thought I check around the tank.

I took a couple steps back when I felt something weird and new instantly what just happened. Fortunately I barely put any weight on it and the carpet is really thick and loose. I noticed his gills moving so I threw him straight to sump.

He was upside down for about 10 minutes breathing heavily. After about 30 minutes he straighten out somewhat. I called it a night after an hour and hoped for the best. In the morning, much to my dismay, he was still alive.

He is swimming really erratic when he sees any light. I have the sump covered where he is located so he doesn't jump again. I'm hoping he pulls through.

Why to your dismay? The clown being alive is a good thing!

Hope your clownfish makes it. How is it doing today? I had one jump but wasn't home and found it dried up on the floor.

I had a firefin jump off the top of my tank which sat on my dresser onto tile. That guy was a trooper and made it. With your carpet I dont think you'll have a problem.

Hope all goes good with your little guy

just be thankful you came upon him before he had died. 98% of us didn't get that chance and lost some great fish. I lost a male Darwin. Mommy was devastated.
