Nice job pennyguy, My wife and I are building a log cabin right now in NY. Doing all the work ourselves.. I share in your pain of lifting LVL's! lol do you install radiant heat also? we just put it into our basement before they poured the slab.

Sorry, Been very busy with the house. Thanks asnatlas.

We poured the basement today. MAN it was a pain going through the egress windows. So I think that I will be getting the sump and bulk heads in pretty soon here.

looks good.. are you doing all the housees your self being the main contracter? if y our ever looking for an excavating company let me know..lol..

Yes we to just about everything. We dig our own basements, pour our own walls. Do all our own flat work. Have a few framing crews, roofers, siders. We pretty much cut out the middle man:)

But if we ever need alot of work done that we can't keep up. We'll give you a call:D

I just ordered a large outcropping and a pillar both 23.6 high. I hope they are cool because these things cost more the LIVE ROCK.

They do cost a lot but they look really nice.

Got any other equipment yet? What equipment are you planning on (skimmer, reactor, closed loop pumps, tunze, etc etc etc).

Give us the equipment room scoop and layout when you get a chance. Looks great so far! Keep the pics coming and good luck- I'll be following this one for sure.

Yes she does support me very much. She likes the fish rather then coral. But at least she doesn't HATE it all together. And I can ACTUALLY tell her what everything cost.:D

Thats awsome!

This is going to be a cool project and I like the way your house is coming together :D

I have seen those geo's... they do look really neat.

Post pisc when you get the right one. :)

Sorry everyone I have been very busy the past few days. I will post some pics of the progress tomorrow. The hood of the tank is going to be very cool. I will show you the templete later.

Everything looks awesome, really beefed up that stand too! Not to get off subject but Pulte is one of the largest building companies in the world. It is just a monster with developments all over the world. It is just a huge company with all sub-contractors. It was started in Bloomfield I believe, years ago, you can buy their stock too. Just a little FYI. More pics?

Interesting that you're a builder :) Pulte is taking over the Ypsilanti Township area and Augusta Township. They have four project going right now with one more that I know of in the 500 unit range as part of a Village concept but with modern not Neo-traditional houses. My wife and I are looking to move as well in about 4-5 years time after Pulte drives up the market and things settle down with the economy to make it a seller market again :)

Here are some updates.

A Few hundread Lbs of Totaka Live rock.
