Imagine a cylinder reef tank.
24"-30" tall, with the base of it the size of a 6' x 6' cube.
Center overflow with 8 holes in the bottom for ALL the circulation you need. 4 outlets in one direction the other 4 face the opposite way.
Two closed loop pumps, 1 each for 4 holes.
Pump 1 comes on for 6 hours making all the water rotate clockwise, at the end of 6 hours it shuts off.
Then pump two kicks on and makes all the water rotate counter clockwise.
In a cylinder the flow would ride around the the tanks wall instead of getting stopped in corners, so that is all the flow you need. Like stirring a pitcher of kool-aid with a wooden spoon.
I have been talking about this "dream tank" for years.
Only problem is the way they manufacture these kind of tanks in acrylic there are always distortions in areas of it.
I need some to make me a mold and pour molten glass into it.
