I'm not sure if my acro will growth that much but i do not want to change stuff around after the tank is setup. I used to change my equipment every couple months and they all are very expensive. I just want to get everything at once that way it will help prevent the upgrade later.

Hello Jeremy, welcome to my thread. I hope it will help with your new setup. Consider this is my last tank so i decided to go all out.

I was going to setup a normal SPS tank but someone (Mike Dudester) has his list of thing for his future tank and got me wonder why did he pick all the expensive stuff. After couple PM exchange i ended up copying the guy. Now i have to work even harder to get some money for the gadged .

As for the tsunami i learn it from SeanT (sick individual ) he advice since i am going to run BB. I should not let anything settle in the bottom of the tank. Therefore i decided to go with a bunch of Tunze stream. I want to be like Terry (T-boned) having all the tunze product in my little tank .

My little girl will arrive in Aug (first child) i need luck and i need lots of it. The wife already warned me about the reeftank and my baby. Look like i will be working on the tank while they are asleep

Steve, I like to save a buck as much as the next guy. I'm actually buying expensive equipment to SAVE money. Everything on my equipment list has a proven track record of reliability, and I can get customer service on almost every item locally. By purchasing quality equipment outright, we're both going to save money by avoiding upgrades and repairs, and we'll dodge a lot of headaches in the long run. And with a new baby coming along, that will be very valuable to you.

Mike, i totally agree with that. You paid upfront but it will saved in the long run with the power usage, reliability.

tbone - i may not be able to go taller than 31" on my stand - the tank is 36" wide, so i won't be able to fit the stand in the door if the stand is taller than a door width... unless someone here knows a trick i'm not thinking of! i assume having AGE make the stand in segments is a nightmare on the assembly side... (sorry for the hijack!)

Tony, i have my stand custom by John (JJ81speed) here in RC. The material he is using is 2x3 with 3/16 thickness tubing for the bottom and top, all the post will be 3x3 3/16 thickess. I will have 10 posts and they all removeable. My stand will be 42" tall. If you ever plan on metal stand, that is a great way to do it or you can check out Matt (Bricky) Big E thread in Elos forum. He has his stand made in 3 pieces..
