Looks like I am in luck . I ended up putting together my own dursos. I would of liked to try the CJ's but for some reason I was thinking they were more expensive than $27.

Give us some pictures so we can figure out how they're built! Does any component of the stand pipe seem to be unavailable in PVC?

Aaronovky, go to www.dursostandpipes.com and that should help you to understand them. That is Rich's website (Rich Durso, that is). For some reason I can't open that site at the moment but I'm pretty sure he explains the principle and setup of the standpipe on his web page. Basically it's one method of silencing the water that flows through one's overflow. HTH.

Update:

All the new rock has been in the RODI container with bleach since Friday. It is time for a good wash with tap water and air dry . I also receive the shipment from Bulk Reef, there shelf piece are huge. I will post some update picture shortly.

I just got some shelf and base rock from bulk reef also. I ordered 25lb just to see what it was like (was ordering a buncha carbon etc), and I received one giant *** 25lb piece Might have to break it down for my purposes....

You mentioned that you put live rock into RO water??? Why would you buy LR for that exactly? I'm doing the same thing with my base rock, but isn't LR more expensive to buy up front, so whats the point if you're just going to kill it all?

I paid $150 for 200+lbs of live rock. I think it is very cheap and i don't mind to turn them into dead/dry rock
