Still Back Ordered

Just got off the phone with Marine Depot The Tunze 6100 Streams are now back ordered till January 17th what gives? Is there a problem with the pumps?

No, the factory has been closed for the past couple weeks so nothing has been coming in, add being slammed with orders for Christmas and that is the problem.

What's new with the drive unit?

See the sticky at the top of the forum on cleaning for pictures. In the past all Streams shared the same drive unit. This was done largely to help with parts storage but the brakes on a 6000 or 6100 or 6200 are alot like tonsils or an appendix and not necessary. Because of increased demand and the need for the older drive unit to be hand assembled a newer one piece version was made. It is a bit stronger and more reliable and in general it is quieter but sometimes results in more pump vibration.

These are in stock at Reef Exotics.... I just ordered a TS48 kit and Anthony said he had stock. Very nice guy and he shipped the order quickly.
