Stock my Fish Tank!

MechEng99

aka Reef'd Up
Let's have some fun...but this is a serious stocking list. I have a 150g tall (48" long x 24" wide x 31" tall) SPS & LPS tank. I do not want to spend more than $500 on a single fish...so please don't suggest a black tang or anything. :) But yeah, I'd still like some really cool fish within my budget. I'd also like an herbivore to help any algae that may crop up too.

Current fish:
2 stupid chromis
Crosshatch Goby
Mandarin

Thanks!!

I would definitely start with 4 lyretail anthias- love the movement the bring to a tank
Yellow tang next -great color
A pair of watanabei angelfish would be an awesome main focus of all the fish. The male and female look different which is always cool and they are reef safe

and an exquisite fairy wrasse with a yellow assessor

Any criteria other than "reef-safe-ness" (given the SPS and LPS), having at least one herbivore, and costing less than $500 for any one fish? There are lots and lots of directions you could go.

Toots - funny you said that...I had 4 lyretail anthias and 2 Wanatabe angels...died from ich b/c I only QT'd...and didn't treat. I'm treating everything from now on.

mrwilson - just looking for really unique fish that'll work well in a 150g tank together. Maybe I should've renamed the threat something along the lines of "What is your dream reef-safe fish for less than $500?" I love "functional" fish - fish that'll eat algae, act in a symbiotic relationship, etc...but I know it's impossible to have all fish like that in a tank.
