Hey guys,

I would like to hear ur opinion on the following fish for my 100 gallon tank.

I will definitly get a pair of Chocolate Tangs (A. Pyroferus).

Here are some more fishs i would like to have but they are just additions to the Chocolate Tangs: 1x Labroides dimidiatus 2x Pterapogon kauderni 2x Amphiprion ocellaris 1x Valenciennea puellaris (sry i dont know the english names)

Please tell me if i can keep them like this.
Or suggest me some other fish that will fit well with my two tangs.

best regards Marten :)

p.s. sry for my bad english :sad2:

2 tangs might be ok in there, it would be better with just 1. i would skip the cleaner wrasse because they are hard to care for, and go with cleaner gobies (Elacatinus oceanops). you can have a small school of them and they look really cool.

some kind of fairy wrasse would go well in your tank (wrasses of the genus Cirrhilabrus)

Hey guys,

I will definitly get a pair of Chocolate Tangs (A. Pyroferus). One head might be better than two in this case, unless the two heads are separate or get along. In layman's terms, usually you only want to keep one of a species of tang, unless they are paired or the tank is large enough. You could or couldn't do it if you want.

Here are some more fishs i would like to have but they are just additions to the Chocolate Tangs: 1x Labroides dimidiatus 2x Pterapogon kauderni 2x Amphiprion ocellaris 1x Valenciennea puellaris (sry i dont know the english names)

L. dimidiatus, these are usually better left in the ocean
2x P. kauderni, fine as long as they're a true pair.
A. ocellaris, I'd get two, one bigger than the other.
V. puellaris, sand bed chaos in fish form, stir sand everywhere, slowly deplete the sand bed of beneficial microorganisms and possibly starve, sand gets on corals and rocks and everything, sand gets everywhere, sandstorms, sand clouds, sand, sand, sand... Great fish though...

Please tell me if i can keep them like this.
Or suggest me some other fish that will fit well with my two tangs.

Well, another fish that I'd recommend for your situation here is a blenny from the genus Meiacanthus, never had any problems with these, M. oualanensis is a vibrant yellow. Flasher wrasses (genus Paracheilinus) are nice too.

100gal is marginal for a single A. pyroferus, let alone two. You might consider tangs from the Ctenochaetus genus instead. I would skip Labroides dimidiatus altogether. These fish do not fare well long-term in captivity and are better left on the reef where they perform a vital role.

Thank you guys!

I will get 2x Acanthurus pyroferus 2x Pterapogon kauderni 2x Amphiprion ocellaris 2x Elacatinus oceanops 2x Wrasses (I am not sure what species) 1x Lysmata amboinensis

best regards Marten :)
