Combat-tested Reefer
Hey y'all... I'm currently in Iraq, but using my time over here to plan out my tank for when I return...
It's going to be a 300 gallon, deep dimension tank (72"x36"x27"). I intend to keep mainly SPS, with a smattering of LPS and softies (mainly to show movement and flow of water in the tank).
Anyways, my question is this: I want to keep a good mix of fish, and am especially a fan of tangs and angels. If possible I'd like to keep small schools or shoals of fish.
What do you think I could have in a tank this size without issues, assuming all conspecifics were added at the same time and all other steps taken to minimize (especially initial) aggression?
My wish list of fish for the tank:
Powder Brown Tang
Powder Blue Tang
Yellow Tang (was thinking 5 or so, if possible)
Mimic Eibli Tang
Yellow Eye Tang
Pacific Blue Tang
Ocellaris Clowns (pair)
Mystery Wrasse
Tailspot Blenny
Watchman Goby
Red Mandarin (pair)
Eibli Angel
Coral Beauty Angel
Flame Angel
So what do y'all think? Too much? Room for more? Experiences with these fish (specifically keeping these fish together)? Total water volume will be approx. 450 gallons, including DT, sump, fuge, frag tank, etc. Skimmer will be a Royal-Exclusiv Alpha 300 Cone Skimmer.
