Stocking for a biocube

I decided to begin planning for a 29 gallon biocube HQI as I'd like to start raising some coral.

The fish that I was thinking as definites for the system are:
-McCosker's wrasse
-Percula clown (would a pair work? I know they're territorial so I'm not sure if a pair would be terrors to the other inhabitants)

And maybes:
-Royal gramma (assuming that there was only one clown)
-A tail spot blenny or greenbanded goby

Does that seem to be a reasonable stocklist in terms of space/size and bio-load?

Any stocking suggestions are welcome as well. I'm definitely open to them.

Thanks!

I always think clowns are more entertaining in pairs, as you get to watch them interact. I'd get a nice pair of percs or ocellaris and one more small fish, like a goby or a blenny.

You can do the gramma with a pair of clowns. I did it with no problems. And the stigmatura blenny(tail spot) stays relatively small when compared to other blennies. Personally I like that list and don't see a problem with it.

That stocking level seems fine to me. In my 29, I have a pair of perc clowns, a bicolor blenny, a copperband butterfly (a very small one) a cleaner shrimp, and 3 turbo snails. Bioload is clearly not an issue at all at this level of stocking; as always, don't overfeed and you should be fine.

If you go the clown route, please get a a mated pair, as they're just so much more fun to watch that way, and an anemone for them would be a nice addition once the tank is well established and stable.

My percs get along with their tankmates without any issues at all.

In my biocube I have
2 clowns
and I most likely add another fish

3-4 fish sounds reasonable to me

I usually stick to 4 fish in my 30g. right now I have a misbar clown, five line wrasse and a fridmani dottyback. Darn xanthid crab killed my watchman goby.

That's too bad, sorry to hear that. I think I'll be avoiding crabs in this setup except for possibly an acro crab because the relationship with coral is pretty cool.

I had 5 in my 30 gal cube for over 2 years. A pair of fire clowns, royal gramma, bi color blenny and strawberry psuedochromis. I also did weekly 20% watercganges. Which was a bit excessive but the corals liked it.
