Stocking Plan for 150G

I've just set my tank and starting to think about future stocking plan.

Tank is measured - 4'L x 3'W x 20" tall - 110-120G of actual water volume (tank is 150G all in all)

I run a SWC 250S skimmer on this tank

Rated 255G for a medium bioload or 200G with a heavy bioload.

This tank will be mostly SPS dominated with some LPS and macroalgae.

My plan so far is

Fish :

15-20 Apogon Parvulus
15-20 Apogon Leptacanthus
1 (small size when full grown) tang
2-4 wrasse
a harem of Anthias (Any recommendation on what kind?)

Does this seem too much?

seems like a lot to me. although when i ran fresh water i had 30 cichlids in a 55.

It's alot but considering the apogon are relatively small.

if it were me id cut down to ten of each instead of 15-20 , because if you see something else you like ,your not restricted

I think it looks good. tell me how to cardinal fish do! im considering putting them in a 33g tank but i have no clue about them.

Palmer373 - Keep looking at my tank build thread and just ask questions when I add the cardinal fish. One of the LFS near me have about 2 dozen of the leptacanthus that's eating and healthy so I will be getting those once the tank si ready. And the other store packs Parvulus. So I wont have to ship any of these fragile fish, but instead take them home (probably in 1-2g of water to avoid stress).

I just bought a coral from someone who told me when she bought a pair of bangaii cardinals from an LFS she took them home and was acclimating in the bag. She was definately surprised to see all of the fry that had been released in the bag before she released into the tank. Talk about an added bonus!

Ah I forgot the banggai! I wanted a mated pair of those also. I will be turning my Biocube or make another tank to rear the fry.

Update on my list...

1 - Achilles Tang (2 if I come across a mated pair)
10-15 Apogon Leptacanthus
15-20 Apogon Parvulus
Mated Pair of some small wrasse..
And Harlem of Anthias (3-4).

Does this sounds overkill?

I would not put an achilles in a 4 x 3 area. personally it isn't nearly long enough, they get 11-12".

I don't think achilles tangs should be kept in an aquarium.

I agree with the others that two schools of 15-20 would be too much. I have 5 PJ cardinals in my 150 and though books often say max size of 3 inches- each full grown one has a size comparable to a juvenile tang. Also with two large schools, leaving little room for many other types of fish, there won't be a lot of color variation...
As for tangs, maybe small zebrasomas like a yellow or scopas or a bristletooth...

so dropped the Tang. what type of tang would you recommend to eat algae?

I will keep the 2 big school, to me... too much variety of fish in a tank darting back and forth draws attention away from the aquascape and the corals itself too much.

The anthias will hopefully be colorful enough by themselves =)

I love the Tomini tang. One of my favorite fish

i know yellow tangs are helpful with algae and they are colourful too ! but i dont know about the size so it might not work

I like the idea of the schools but you could run into problems with the anthias and tang stressing the A. parvulus. They're so sensitive you almost have to keep them in a tank to themselves.

Tang will stress the parvulus out? I can see the anthias doing that..
