Hey guys im looking to add something new to my tank, it has been up and running for almost 6 months now.

80 gal
Ati sunpower
Aquaamaxx skimmer
CPR hob refugium

As for livestock I have

Lunar wrasse (He's a saint, i've heard some horror stories)
Purple Tang
Maroon Clown
Lawnmower Blenny
Torch coral
Some zoas

What addition do you guys think would be good for the fish that I have that isnt your typical fish, ive owned fish in the past in my smaller tanks. I'd like something that is not so conventional, thanks for the tips guys

Some cardinals
I don't know but I like the ugly face of a matted filefish :D

Maybe a black and gold chromis, its very very beautiful IMHO

Don't take this the wrong way, but as you are looking at new fish, take the Purple Tang, Lunar Wrasse, and possible the Maroon Clown out and take them back to your LFS and get credit for new fish. Your tank is way too small for them fish. Go to www.liveaquaria.com and research those fish. Even if you make judgment to keep them, I guarantee you will have a hard time adding any newcomers to that tank with the Purple Tang and Wrasse being already being established. Good Luck!

Live aquaria says that the tank size is large enough for the clown, but I have a custom tank so my footprint is 4 feet long.

nicky, i have a 72 gallon tank and a blue tang in it.. its already too big. im not saying it cant work but i am more than likely going to trade it in for a smaller fish. its only about 6 inches long and its too big really with all the rock work and everything. it knocks corals around and is a huge bully at feeding time

You are correct it is large enough but that also depends on the temperament of your maroon and the other tank mates. I had a pair of gold stripe maroons in my 150 that I just got rid of this year after having them for 5 years. For the most part the female did not fight with other fish other than a blenny but she would throw corals over and constantly fan the sand bed. These fish are known for this behavior and if yours does not do it then consider yourself lucky. I would definately take the tang back before it gets too large for that tank and gets stressed out.

How about a hairy filefish. I have recently baught one of these and it's a real character fish. He's into everything and everyone else in the tank ignores him so you might avoid any aggression towards your new fish
