Stocking wrasses in a 75

small alien

The fungus is among us.
Greetings friends. My 75 gallon mixed reef is getting kinda full of fish already. My current stock list is as follows.

Pair of purple firefish
Pair of Oce naked clowns
Harem of Ocellated Dragonets
Bangaii Cardinal
Rainford's Goby
Trimma Goby
Tailspot Blenny
Dragonface Pipefish

I would like to add a fathead Anthias and 2-4 smallish wrasses. I feel like the tank has room for those space-wise and I believe I can handle the bioload.

I'm interested in Leopard wrasses and flashers. I've read the leopard wrasse primer all the way through. Also like Wetmorella sp. but I think they're too cryptic for what I want.

So, wrasse experts, how would you proceed?

Species, stocking order, etc. would be appreciated.

Let me know if I should post more info.

Thanks, small the alien

I think you should be fine stock wise considering all those fish are quite small and fairly peaceful. If your thinking about a group of wrasses make sure to add them all at once. The Flasher species are nice because they stay fairly small unlike some of the bigger fairys and still have all those cool colors.

Really? I had no idea. Hmmm.

Mr. Snorvich, have you kept them together? Which was in the tank first? Would you say it's a risk or definitely a no go? What would you recommend for a wrasse(s) in that set-up with my stock list?

Thanks!

I have a hoevens and a male temmink in my 75. No problems. Also have a sunburst in there too. The temminik and the coral beauty take turns being the boss I think. Don't try to do two male flashers.

i would introduce a pair of leopard wrasses and call it quits as you have a pretty good amount of fish in there now . you may want to chill out a bit in the purchasing dept.

Thank you man of wrasse. Indeed. I think you're right. I am about there. I already had most of my fish before I set up this tank so there really hasn't been a lot of room for "purchasing" per se.

I wouldn't add any wrasse right now. This is part of planning. A pair of leopards is what I really want to keep.

Do you think a pair of leopards and the fathead could co-exist peacefully.

If not, I will just do the leopards in a little while.

Thanks.

the flat head is a bottom dweller amush eater correct ?if so it would be questionable as to the wrasses depending on their size .

Well, the Cardinal kind of does the same job as the sunburst, i.e., hang there and look cool, so perhaps I'll just stick with that. I appreciate the input.
