Just got my 55gallon cycled. Clean up crew is in. Figured I would wait about a week before putting in a fish so I trying to formulate a good stock list. Just trying to get some opinions on if this will be too much and what I should adjust if anything.

- pair of ocellaris clowns
- blue/green chromis
- yellow watchman goby+ pistol shrimp
- lawnmower blends
- orchid dottyback
- valentini puffer

I know the puffer can be iffy with coral and other small creatures I've also read many mixed reviews on it. Many people have them with success in communities.

Let me know your take on the list! Too much for a 55?

Can't comment on the puffer or lawnmower blenny...but I would consider a Royal Gramma over the Dottyback. Dottybacks can be mean little buggers....and the RG looks almost the same.

Everything else looks good.

- pair of ocellaris clowns Great
- blue/green chromis Great, but probably no more than one
- yellow watchman goby+ pistol shrimp Excellent. Very interesting behavior
- lawnmower blendsGood fish with lots of personality. Make sure to feed some seaweed, etc.
- orchid dottyback Great fish. I think it will be fine in this tank, since it's among the most peaceful dottybacks.
- valentini puffer If it becomes a problem with inverts, it will be easy to catch.

I think this is a great list for a 55 gallon.

+1 on no chromis or puffer. Everything else looks great. I have had lawnmower blenny in all of my tanks and they have almost become a staple

IME, your CUC may become a snack for your puffer. I would also get rid of the chromis and look into the Flameback Dwarf Angel, very nice fish.
