Stomatella 🐌

I have a single Stomatella snail in my tank. It looks you be dropping Alot of eggs on my glass. Was wondering if it could self insemination or do they require another?

If so I have picked her/him out of a group. Do they hold sperm and lay eggs?

Or are they infertile eggs?

You most likely have more than one.
If not, I believe they can have babies without a mate? It's reasonably common among snails. I'm not certain, so don't take my word for it.

I know I have one. Because I added 1 into the tank and 1 into my hob refuge. I see them at night

Are you sure it's a Stomatella snail? From this video it appears that they're broadcast spawners.

They are, mine clouds the water frequently. Also rather sure they need a mate.

They look to be this shape but a bit lighter color with slight patterned instead of just brown it has a bit of white http://reefcorner.com/reef-database-index/hitchhiker-index/stomatella/


I'm pretty sure it's a Stomatella I have
And a Cerith and a nassarius is questionable but moves like one

Just don't know who's been dropping white seed eggs around. I don't have a nerite yet
