Here it goes. Beyond the Reef is closing! Our business has grown outside of our abilities. We don't feel we can continue to meet the standards that made us what we are today. The building we rent has been put up for sale and requires more money and attention than it is worth. Speaking for myself: I love the store, the customers, and the hobby! I also love my family, home, and job. This has been a very difficult decision. We are only in the planning stages of closing so that we can give anyone that might depend on us time to make adjustments. Also to find good homes for the livestock. I want to thank everyone for everything. We have done some amazing things and met some amazing people. So for us it's not an end it's just time for a new direction. We will post a more accurate time line and official date, at a later date.

I don't get it? The place was always packed! I'm going to miss that place! Is there any hopes of a new location?

I talked to Brent a month or so ago and he said it's a possibility. It will be awhile though. He said cycling the new tanks and getting everything stocked is somewhere around 6-8 months minimum. I would like to see him come back, but he has a full time time and kids so another run might not be in the future, hopefully the bug will hit him again in time.
