Hey all,

I have a 400 gallon 1" thick acrylic aquarium that I wont be able to set up for some time. Is it ok to store it on its side to reduce the foot print it will take up in storage? The dimensions are 6' x 3' x 3'.

Thanks.

I think you can stand it on end without any issues. If it's eurobraced, then certainly no issues, but in either case I think it will be fine. The water it will contain will exhibit more forces on the structure than the tank will upon itself when empty.

I think I will be safe, my tank is like 275 lbs empty
