Okay small update (yes, this build will happen!). I went to home depot today to buy a can of paint, and saw that the tile my wife and I picked out for our basement (the fish room) was on clearance. Half off? Yes, very much yes.

1700lbs of tile later...

Progress update!

I got a lot of the carpet out of the basement. After I get the vinyl out and get everything cleaned up I can start tiling.

Also, I came across a really cool looking product called the Coralvue Hydros Wave Engine.. anyone using one of these?

I have been using the Wave Engine for 6 months. I will never run another tank without one.

Wanted to post some progress pictures.. This is the basement where the fish room will be. Right now I'm in the middle of getting vinyl glue off of the cement floor so I can lay down tile.
