I have two percula clowns.

I just noticed that one of my clown act strange...a clown is like making a crater in rear of tank..

What the heck is clown doing? digging grave, storage foods? eh?

THANKS!
Jake

oh no...not up for it...hehe..

I really dont have extra $ for a new small tank and raise it then sell...

Well, what should I do if THEY actually laying eggs?? leave it alone ?

I have other fishes in there...6 lines wasaale and black pearl butterfuly.

Thanks!
Jake

dont worry they will hatch and everything will eat them. If you did want to raise them they would need to be removed from the tank prior to hatching and placed in a tank with a proper setup to raise fry.

one of clown wont leave crater area...i guess thats normal ? how long will it takes eh ?

I fed it and she went after it...then back to crater area..

Thanks!
Jake

My tomtatos did the same thing, the male would stay in the anenome all day while the female would stay in the 'crater area' behind my rockwork most of the time. It was like that for over a year until i removed them because of how aggressive the female became.

I would guess you'll see your female maintaining the nest indefinitely unless something happens that makes her want to move it.

I agree with others...what she's doing is creating a smooth surface to lay eggs..the the male will pass over them and fertilize them...then for about 8-11 days, the male will blow them with his mouth and fan them with his fins...while the female "guards" the clutch. After 8-11 days, the fry will hatch at night and swim to the surface...if you were to collect them, you could grow them out...but otherwise, they'll be eaten by mom and dad or other tankmates....consider yourself lucky. Spawning clowns are a great addition to any tank!

yeah i see..

I noticed female has some kind of white string came out of anus or what do you called it ;) ..

yeah she seems very little aggressive too like shes guard it.

Thanks!
Jake

LOL !

Yeah i noticed female a bit aggressive toward other clown if HE go near to crater area *** ? i thought they re pair...oh well

If a clown contuning aggressive to other clown- best thing to do is remove clown and return store for other small clown ??

Advice will be great!

Thanks!
Jake

Relax. Everything you're seeing is normal. The white stringy poo may need to be addressed though. This could be a sign of internal parasites or infection. With good care, this may go away on its own. however, you may want to post a thread in the disease treatment forum, to see what they suggest. I know there are medicated foods that are said to help. I don't know if you can feed them in a reef tank though. HTH

oh crap, not now :( ..

Stringy white..not good....she have been swimming around the crater and eating good...i guess good sign ? I ll post other thread in there...oh boy...

Thanks
