Strange Bubble Tip behavior.

Hey guys. I have a large bubble tip anemone that split a couple of weeks ago.
About a week later I removed one of them and placed in my sump becasue I was giving it to a friend. After about a week in the sump it literally came apart in 3 different pieces. Not like a split or anything. They were all different sizes. 4 days later they still have their tenticals open. Now the weird thing is the one in my display decided to crawl into my overflow. It was in their for about a week. The way it was positioned made it impossible to get out. It finally made its way to the top and I was able to get it out. Now 2 days later it is splitting into two. The one that was in the sump actually left its foot behind. any ideas what could be going on here. Im not sure if the nem in the sump has a mouth on either. If this is a split will it regenerate a mouth or is this just a case of being badly stressed and will it heal under right conditions.
Thanks.
Appreciate any advice.

How are your params? Something seems to be stressing it and spliting as a last ditch effort to survive. Thats my guess but wait for the experts to chime in.
