Strange Growth in Sump ?

Hello to all
I have found this to be multiplying in the skimmer & the return section's of my sump. The Fudge side is illuminated on a 12 / 12 schedule & doe's not appear to have this growth. Cheato, coraline, & green algae are abundant in the fudge. All the water parameters are within excellent level's.

I would like to know what this is, & if I should leave it or remove it before it spreads any further in the sump, & possibly to the display.

As Always.
Thanks For A Reply :)

Haven't seen anything move, just multiply in that area of the sump.

Friend or Foe ?

Thanks for a reply

Probably a syconoid sponge. Sponges grow in relationship to nutrients. If just a few it's a sign of a very healthy tank but they can replicate fast if you're not careful. I have a few on my live rock. Love always finding new life!

Sponges & tunicates. They are literally living water filters that are to be enocuraged and appreciated.
