strange queen trigger behavoir...

My queen trigger, who is about 9", has been just about a model citizen. Even today she still does not touch any of her tankmates. But last night it appeared as if she were possessed by the devil. her body color changed to a really dark color and the area around her mouth became really light in color. Then all she did was stay at the top center of the tank. When I put my face up to the tank, she charged me and ran into the glass. Then everytime I would put my face to the glass she would repeat the charging.
then this morning, I looked at her and her color was back to normal and she acted normal also.

what gives?

In trigger speak this means that your Queen is finally showing her true colors (pardon the pun). This is how my Niger looked before it tried to kill my Blueline trigger.

If I were you, I would make a quick decision as to what you want to keep. A 210 with just a Queen or one with a couple of other fish.

I have yet to see a tank that can house a queen trigger and other tank mates under 500g.

Mine does this occasionally. I just call it her PMS syndrome. She will do this for a day or two, just acts really weird. Then all of a sudden she is fine. Mine charges the tank and it scares me to death cause I'm afraid she'll bust the glass one of these days. Sloshes water everywhere when she's like this. I wouldn't worry about its' health. But I would get the tankmates away from the queen when she is starting to act like this. She is getting ready to clean house.

I have a Queen trigger with 8 other tank mates for over a year and no problems, the trigger is 14 inches.I think fish are like people some are mean and some are not!
