strange sebae death

Well my crispa which I picked up about four months ago died today. It was bleached when I got it but eventually colored up normally and looked to be in good health. Then suddenly it unplanted and roamed the tank. I put it in a new spot thought it would like on my sandbed and it attached and then just three days later it died. Its in my mixed reef tank and everything else is doing fine, lps sps clams etc.

what could have caused this sudden demise in my nem? also idk if this is related or not, but once my crispa detached, the pair of clowns hosting in it didn't follow after it. they just moved into my frogspawn. Could this have affected it?

Can we have some more specifics on your tank please.
Tank Size
sump or no
how long has it been set up
what are your levels at: PH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, etc.

Did you change any flow in your tank?
Did you change the lighting? What type of lighting are you using?

There could be a number of factors that contributed to this nems death. Answering these questions will help. It is rather rare for a bleached sebae nem to survive in a tank the first six months you have it.

tank is 55g, no sump, been up for about 17 months, no changes in flow or lighting. Lighting is leds, whcih have been over the tank since i got the nem.

Levels:
ph: 8.2
nitrates, nitrites, ammonia: all at 0

Did you feed it anything? I do not think Anemone can detect spoiled food. It may get an infection from the food you feed it and died. This happened to me.

I had a few healthy nems die after feeding silversides, and other nem keepers had the same outcome.
Not saying that is what you did, just throwing it out there.
