Strange Worm Thing

So ig ot home from work last night and go up to look at my 10 gal nano and wat do i see swimming in it this weird looking worm thing that looked a lot like a leech so i quickly grabed a net and flushed it does anybody know wat it could be and whether it is a good guy or a bad guy. It swam like and eel but was a greyish brown. ANybody have any ideas???? Sry no pix because it got flushed

ewww. any worm that swims, and resembles an eel would creep me out.
