How are other SPS colours in your tank? If the others have good colouration, generaly that indicates that most others added will maintain colours, or get worse and regain most of the colours.

SSC I generally tend to keep in high light and high flow. I bought a colony just this last weekend, but its in QT at the moment. I got it for a good price because it was already browned out.

Beautiful colony you have there.

My SSC frag was shipped to me and I've read where they will lose color due to stress. That's what happened to my frag. But slowly it is getting good colors, i.e. the green and pink. I think once they get settled in they do well.

Hi
I have several SSC 4 colonies and 3 frags all in different locations within the tank i ended up with these like you trying to find the best location for the SSC . I have found that they are all doing well basing out and colour coming through ,the lighter ones soon turn darker then gradually come back with new growth so for me its more about lots of flow and stable params but it takes time as some frags did nothing for 5 months.

Agree with the posters above especially in regards to flow being key. Sounds like it is acclimating well, usual advice would be to start it in a lower light area and move up over time... Very hardy coral and you have a beautiful colony! Congrats!
