Stream 6000 to big?

Here is the question:

A have a "cube" 20"x20"x25", return flow from the sump is about 450gph. As I need additional flow for the SPS, clam dominated tank, I need more flow and I dislike the idea of drilling holes for a CL. SO, a 6000 on a 7094 is my preference. The rockwork is built up in the center of the tank and I would put the stream in one of the back corners pointing to front center. I could move the stream to the opposite side of tank periodically to change up flow. The big questions is, will this be to much flow, or will this be appropriate flow. Thanks in advance.

If it was possible to wait for the nano Streams that would be better but the controllable one won't be out until December. The 6000 is probably going to require the tank be bare bottom and the clams be somewhat sheltered.

I am ok with the Barebottom part, and the clams could be arranged in the front of the LR in somewhat of a cove, if you an picture that. The next question then is will the flow pattern be adequate for the tank as a whole. I would imagine that if the stream is mounted say in the back right corner pointed forward, the flow would rotate around the whole tank providing adequate flow for all inhabitants. Sound reasonable?

Thanks in advance for your comments Roger.

Flow is definately good but like Roger said you will probably need to barebottom as I've a 48" tank set way at the top and I'm getting a sandstorm more than half way the other side. The pai of Jawfish is overworked on spitting out the sand covering their shelter. I've it on a single controller and I need to figure out how to slow it down a bit on the dials.

Besides this issue the pump is very quite. If you are getting the pump with the controller also get the photocell to control the day/night operation.
