Stream 6000 transformer in hot cabinet

I'm setting up two 6000's and a 7095, and I was hoping to mount the drivers and transformers in a (dry) cabinet with my MH ballasts. In the 6000 manual, though, I see we're not supposed to "mount the transformer in the vicinity of heat sources". The transformers will be a couple of feet away from the ballasts, but I'm guessing the cabinet is likely to be warm. How hot can I safely run the transformers? What is it about heat that damages them?

Thanks!

They themselves get warm and they have thermal cut offs. I would probably mount them somewhere else, I would not place them in an environment above 90 F for sure.
