Stream 6060 and Wave Timers

Hi,

I know that the Stream 6060 can't be used with a wave timer or controller, but was wandering what was the reason behind it. Thanks!

It has a clutch system to ensure it always spins the correct direction, this is destroyed by constant on and off use.
