Stream 6080...on...off...on...off...on...off...on........

Please help,

One of my 6080's has started to turn itself on and off intermitantly.

I have checked the impellor is correctly put together and that the o-ring in the bottom of the shaft is in place.

Could this be an electrical fault?

It could be, they automatically shut off if overheated and restart when cooled down. I would take it to a dealer immediately or send it to Tunze in Germany. A watt meter is required to make sure the pump is OK.

I just noticed Stasse should be Strasse- German for street. they usually write it with the eszett instead of the double ss but either is acceptible in modern German, eszett looks like the Greek letter Beta.
