Stream Bracket

i LOVE my new Stream, but the only thing i am not sooooo excited about is the bracket that mounts the pump. being that i have a molding around the top of my tank, with a little bit of a ledge (about 1/2 ") i cant hang it directly to the glass, but rather i have to hang it from the molding which firstly doesnt leave my pump flush against the glass and leaves it pretty much dangling into the tank.
any suggestions or alternatives? you dont have something that can just hang over the tank? i feel like the vibrations and wiggling of the pump will eventually loossen it off and i dont want to know what would happen if it did.
Thanks,
Albert

no, y - would that help? my tank is not deep and i want it up top, so i didnt get it.

3000.244 extends the span, not the length. Look at the picture. You get longer screws and a spacer for just the install you describe.

looking at the picture you have attached, i have that same kind of ledge (as i am sure most tanks have) i hung it from the ledge though (not like the way you have it) but there is the same problem with the pump "hanging" rather than against the glass. most other powerhead brackets are better designed (in my opinion). for the price we are paying, i dont see why Tunze has included a DIY type bracket rather than something a little better.
do you sell any other better brackets that would be compatible? and will the deco rock, when i get it, look like its on the glass? or just look like its hanging from the sky?

The extension is the best solution we have, it really works pretty well. The bracket had to be designed to work on all of the aquariums in the world and actually only the US uses the plastic trim. In Europe where 50% of Tunzes market base is the tanks are trimless. The only other solution would be to drain the tank down part way and silicon the rail to the glass using the fiberglass mounts included in kit 3000.26.

The 3000.26 is generally for acrylic tanks. It does include 2 fiberglass plates that you can silicon to the glass but you will have drain your tank about 7 inches and thoroughly clean the glass and optimally you should scratch the area where the plates will be adhered with400grit sandpaper or a scotch brite pad.

Suction cups could not possibly hold a Stream pump long term- too much force.

The deco rock might be an option I include a pic.

oh, that is interesting, to use a Deco rock INSTEAD of a bracket - that would look a lot more natural (just dont want it to blast the corals off my rock - might be too close). I was thinking of putting the Deco rock on the stream on the bracket.

where do you get all these photo's from? is there somewhere i can see all of them and get ideas?

I take the photos myself in my tanks or in test tanks at Tunze.

The Stream rock doesn't work with the bracket it is a stand alone unit measuring 10" by 10" by 6" and weighing about 6lbs.

cool. i am looking forward. (rock should be arriving mid-january according to Marine Depot.) Till then i will of course keep looking for better idea on how and where to place this pump.

Maybe sooner, 25 rocks were sent to me yesterday, things are coming in pretty well right now.

ok, my tank and i will be waiting.
thanks for all your help roger, i really do appreciate it.
