How big are the 6100? size wise...and will I ned a stream for my system? I mean I know that as much water flow as possible is goodbut I have the 6100's on order and I'm wondering if it is overkill? I have a FOWLR looking to have a lot of sps and clams in my tank...Also which direction is best when facing them?
Wow I am rambling on here its late and Im tired...but also will these streams kick up sand from my DSB? I am afraid of having a reef-southdown milkshake for a tank.....
They're pretty good size. Really the one downside. In my 6 foot tank they're not bad, I've got a 6100 in each corner essentially. In a 125, you probably only need one 6100 IMO. Kinda depends.

I would agree- A TS24 is only suitable for a 180 reef. The Stream was designed for corals which live in Micro Atolls and the Outer Reef Slopes. The flow was purposely intended to support a few species of leathers, and the numerous SPS corals which inhabit these areas and to mimic the flow they would recieve in nature. They also are suitable for some high flow species of Dendronephthea and similar filter feeding/ chemotrophic corals. I strongly advise against use with Sugar Sand but many have successfully done so.
