Stream Intake

I've been looking at pictures of the tunze streams, and I want to confirm where the intake water goes in. Is it the vented area just behind the outflow spout? Or is it through the bottom of the box or somewhere I can't see?

It is in the vented area- I will have a movie of the Stream with any luck by the end of the day. If so I will post a link.
