Stream recommendations for my tank?

I have an existing 55 gallon reef tank with a 2.5"-3" sand bed and LOTS of live rock, where the only flow is provided by two returns from a Mag 9.5 in my sump. With a 4.5 foot head, I'm guessing that I am getting about 750-800 GPH of actual flow out of it...

I would like to get some nice water movement in the tank, and was thinking about the 6000 pluse the SingleController for some wave simulation. Is this overkill for my tank? (I could crank down the flow a with the controller...).

Also, I want to use the rock mount - how much flow do you lose when using this mount - I'm guessing 5%-10% or so?

A 55 is so narrow that the Stream is not effectively utilized, a 7400/2 would be a better choice. The Stream rock is 10" wide and will not work with the pump I suggest, again yoour tank is so narrow the rock would look awkward.
