Streamfilter running in reverse

Hey Roger,
Fritz, asked me to contact you. I have a streamline filter, that when powered on. Will run in reverse and takes several time to power down. For the rotation to correct itself. Is there anything I need to do. I purchased it maybe 6 months ago. Thanks in advance.

If the pump hasn't been cleaned in this time it is due and that may be the cause. The propeller may be partially bound to the shaft so it cannot correct direction either due to sand or lime deposits. I would disassemble the pump and soak all the parts in 50/50 vinegar and water for 4-6 hours. This could also be caused by too dense of a packing of filter media.
