It could be a technical issue- clogged hole in the center of the magnet from sand or calcium or algae, clogged upper bearing. It could be installation- less the 3" from the surface for a 6060 or 6" for a 6100. The screen might be upside down, the solid surface must face up. The aquarium could have an oxygen saturation or carbonate imbalance and these chemistry issues would have to be resolved. Oxygen saturation would occur from strong lighting and fast growth of algae or corals. In this case the bubbles get progressively worse during daylight hours. In a carbonate imbalance the KH would be very high and shift the equilibrium causing CO2 to degas.
