Streams for use w/backup power supply?

Can you safely use Streams with a computer backup power supply? Any differences or requirements for use w/Streams?

Yes, this is actually a very good solution for power failures because they use so little power that the pump will run for many hours on a small back up.

From what I have noticed, if u wanna use the streams on a UPS, you need a unit which emulates the true sine wave of the elec supply... In the case of APC units, u would need the SMART-UPS series. using the 'lower-end' backup units will result in a reduced flow even during normal electrical supply...
